Legionnaires’ Disease

Many Nursing Home operators across the country will soon be required to become experts at preventing Legionnaires’ Disease.  In April 2014, ASHRAE (formerly American Society of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers) is expected to issue a set of standards targeting the prevention of Legionnaires’ Disease.  It is anticipated that many states, including Ohio, will adopt these standards as law.  The anticipated law will target Nursing Homes.  Buerger Energy strongly recommends that your facility group put safe water maintenance including cooling tower and potable water on their radar.  For more information contact Buerger Energy.
